The magnet sticks well and securely to the car vent, but either the magnets aren't strong enough or my case is too thick. If I wanted to put it in the case right on the phone, it wouldn't be held by a magnet. An easy workaround, although I just taped it to my case's hard case underneath my Otterbox's silicone otter case and it has held up fine. The only other issue I have is that it's glued to my vent so it blocks airflow from that vent to me, but this will be present in almost any type of vent mount. I know Syncwire makes a suction cup mount that solves this problem, but I'm not sure if it will stick to my dashboard. Will have to find out
