Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Olympus WS-100 64 MB Voice Recorder with USB Connectivity by Brandon Perkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good device

I bought my first WS-100 three or four years ago and the second yesterday as a replacement. I haven't regretted it for a second! I am a member of a paranormal investigation team, I use mine during audio sessions to capture the EVP. At least for what I use it for, the device has been great! The AAA battery can be swapped out in about five seconds, so there's no significant disruption when the battery dies. I looked at the WS-500 and decided against buying it because it requires an unusually sized battery and needs to be charged from a computer or wall outlet. Built-in USB port in one of the best moments. If the cable isn't at hand, it doesn't matter! Downloading is quick and easy. I've also used it as a flash drive a few times and it works on most computers. Also, you don't need to download any special software to use it. Files are easy to organize. At the most sensitive settings, you can get around six to eight hours of recording time before needing to upload. Also on the plus side, the device is somewhat convenient and easy to use once you play with it once or twice. This is important if you're in the dark and don't want to mess with it too much. There are a few minor downsides. The reviews beating the built-in speaker are accurate. This is very bad. It's fine if you download it to your computer, but it's not much fun listening on a device. Also, sometimes my battery cover is open so I have to be careful not to fall out the battery. Plus, the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages!
