This is the best plastic I've found for tablecloths. We had two sizes of rectangular tables so we could use the plastic roller to cut the tablecloths. The cutter on the box worked well and saved a lot of time. The plastic is thicker than what I've found in major department stores and party shops, but you can see through it. We doubled the plastic on our tables to make them opaque. I used cheap fabric tablecloths to decorate them a bit. The plastic isn't very shiny and has a slight texture to keep it from sliding around on the table - both of which are a plus for me. We used them for a BBQ dinner that had a lot of spills and I was surprised at how well they cleaned without leaving stains so we left them on the tables the next day. The event was out of the country so I threw them away after the event but they are so neat and tidy I would have saved them for later if I had been home. I also bought round tablecloths from this company and they were of the same quality. I would buy them again and recommend them to others if you plan on doubling them up for each table. Update on the above: I had some of these tablecloths at home and just used one for my grandkids acrylic paint art project. Stains and streaks of color remained on the tablecloth for several hours after the children had finished. The tablecloth was a mess and I was about to throw it away; but just before I did, I was wondering how well the paint would peel off. I figured I would save it for my next painting session with grandkids so I wiped away the largest dried paint stains but there were many stains on the tablecloth especially black, brown and navy paint. I gently tossed it in the washing machine, wondering if it would tear when I took it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did the tablecloth survive the wash cycle without tearing, but all of the paint peeled off and the tablecloth was perfectly white again. This is a really good product for the price!
