I bought these to replace an old wired model with a background bit and I would go for a direct replacement but they don't make them anymore. As others have said the new ones feel bulkier in the ears and there is a slight hiss all the time. It's not a disaster, the hissing really is barely noticeable unless the music is turned off in a quiet room. Let's get down to business. Battery life: not as advertised. Probably around 1/2 of the 7 hours it says on the box. Battery Gauge: Additionally, it can't track battery levels for crap. Constantly reports "Average Battery Level" (after half an hour of use), "Low Battery" (after some listening), "Average Battery Level" (after turning on the next day). Charging: You'll never come across a device as picky about chargers as this one. It will charge ONLY when connected to an iPad charger. Other perfectly usable micro-USB consumables just don't work. I really like this form factor and they are really good to start with, but the quality of this product is poor and the product manager or PM boss who trashed them must feel bad about it.
