Frustrating Features

I have been using this laptop daily for 6 months. It is a beautiful car and would have been a pleasure to own had it not been for a number of features that make me regret my purchase. 1. Despite my efforts to solve the problem, the power options still don't work. No matter what I say (turn off the screen and put the computer to sleep if it's on battery or plugged in), it keeps going to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity. 2. For more than a month, Lenovo Vantage has been offering to install a new BIOS version that I installed. Even though Vantage tells me the BIOS has been updated, it keeps prompting me to install the new (and same) version. 3 - The battery life is slightly different than stated. I don't run anything that tends to drain the battery quickly, however I have found that it typically takes around 6 hours before I need to recharge. The battery gets VERY hot. As a result, I only charge it when in use so as not to damage the laptop and everything underneath it. I bought it in the US but had to move overseas to a place where a proper repair is hard to come by. I can only hope that the situation does not deteriorate. This is not my first Lenovo laptop. I've had 3, all with excellent track records. Too bad he didn't follow suit.
