Although this dishwashing detergent is not as strong as chemical-based liquids, it works well for our purposes. We use a dishwasher (in our particular case, it uses less water than a hand wash), but we hand wash and lightly wash everything that's made of silicone and pyrex bakeware before loading the dishwasher. This soap should be used at full strength to remove thick materials (like burnt food on a casserole dish), but for easy cleaning we dilute it 1:1 with filtered water and put it in a hand pump. So it lasts forever and there are no unpleasant residues left behind. I recommend this soap to anyone who wants to avoid the parabens and chemicals found in other soaps. It's a good choice and a famous brand. I've been using it for 3 years with no complaints.
