Not machine washable

So I guess I missed something. I seriously thought they said they were machine washable but I can't take them off to wash. They stick to this metal rod. Otherwise they are perfect for what I was looking for. Stretches to get me where I need to go. The only thing missing besides the ability to wash easily is flex. I'm just saying. Still a great soft cloth
