Drilling a 3 inch hole in a table is not easy. After that, you'll find that it really needs to be a bit bigger, which you can fix with a rough sanding roller. As mentioned in another review, the RJ-45 cable and plug are of poor quality, but you can replace them with good quality RJ-45 keystone and a short cable. We're in business. The jack goes into the hole. A locking ring keeps it in the hole. The hub rim forms a nice, finished edge with your desktop. The incredibly long power cord fits into any outlet within 6 feet and powers two AC outlets and two USB ports for charging, and the RJ-45 connection works because you put all the parts in. I'm happy with the result, but I... wouldn't do it again.
