Good pencils are best for drawing media

that I like to use most when drawing with watercolor pencils. I know that although my granddaughter is young, she also enjoys making art. I thought that not only would she like to draw pictures, but if she wanted to, she could use a brush to smooth out pencil marks. Years ago when her father was a kid I discovered that crayons in a hot car weren't the best for long summer car rides as they would melt. The colored pencil does not melt. Tried all colors. I dropped one and broke the lead, and the other broke the lead when I put the pencil on the paper. Considering their price, I understand they may have some issues. I think if she is anything like her grandmother she will love this variety of colors! I really think they don't have that much pigment in the colors and although I went with my usual swatch size when trying out the watercolor pencils, I didn't get as much color spread when water was added to the colour. Brush. For a professional artist I don't think they will be impressed at all. My little one should be happy enough that I can give her some of my best kits when she's older and still enjoys making art. I really appreciate the opportunity to try them out. I want to encourage them in every way I can to develop all their skills and talents. Many Thanks. I also like the picture of the dog on the front. I think she'll be able to relate to that rather than the more advanced art you see on some pencil cases.
