Review on Leatt Guard Airflex Hybrid Black Motorcycle & Powersports by George Cochran

Very minimal protection compared to Airflex Pro

I bought them and Airflex Pro. The Airflex Hybrid is more like a compression stocking. The Airflex Pro has more silicone grips to keep the pads in place, the Airflex Hybrid seems to rely on a compression sock to keep the protection in place. The Airflex Pro seems more breathable than the Airflex Hybrid, I think the Pro will be cooler. The hybrid also moves up the thigh and down to the calf. Protection: Both knee pads offer minimal protection. However, Airflex pro offers more protection. The padding area on the Pro is larger, the Pro also has side pads and a top pad. The Airflex Hybrid has a very small knee pad with even smaller flexible plastic "sliders" on top. In the photos you can see how I compress the pads in the Airflex hybrid, the pad coverage is minimal compared to the pros. Durability: I don't think any pads are that durable, that's the nature of playing with these barely visible knee pads. However, the fabric of the Pro suffers less degradation than the fabric of the Hybrid, so I find the Pro to be more durable. I think the hybrid is best used under pants as I would be concerned that it would tear on first encounter. but I haven't crashed in any of them. Appearance: The hybrid looks better and cleaner. In my opinion it would be great if it had the same level of protection. Conclusion: I chose Airflex Pro because: More protection. He seemed to be more durable. He seemed to be more breathable. It had more silicone retention material to keep it in place.
