Review on 🐠 LONDAFISH Aquarium Chillers: Ultimate Cooling with the Marine 2 Fan Fish Tank Cooling Fan by Amber Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very efficient fan - fish and aquatic animals

Great high and low speed fan conveniently placed on the edge of the aquarium. Here in Florida the sunlight coming in through the window raises the temperature in my tank to 82-85 degrees. With the tank cap on and the fan on, the temperature drops to 78 degrees fairly quickly. I found the perfect way to cool my tanks. Now when I open the curtains in the morning to let the sun in, I go ahead and turn the fan on low. It stays on until 4pm. When I set it to maximum it cools down too much. If I start with a low temp, as soon as I open the curtains it's kept at 78-80 degrees all day. And here's a great free trick I use on those days when for some reason I miss the early fan turn on and my tanks are already heating up by the time I get to them. I have 4 bottles of water frozen in my freezer. You can't throw ice in your aquarium without upsetting the stable pH of your tap water when it melts. On days when my tank is already hot and needs a quick cool down, I turn the fan on full blast and drop a bottle or two of frozen water into the tank. When the ice in the bottle turns to water, I just refreeze it and use it again. This fan here in Florida, where we are already in the 90's, lowers the temperature of my tank by about 2 degrees on low temp and about 4 degrees on high temp. Note: I have 4 tanks and the fan fits 3 of them. The fourth tank is too big for him. Make sure you measure the thickness of your tank.
