This puzzle was a mixed bag. The puzzle came in a sealed plastic bag inside the box. Because we always put together the edges first, it became apparent very quickly that we were missing an edge piece. Also quite early into the puzzle, we discovered a duplicate piece of one that had already been placed. What on earth is going on with the puzzle making process that a new, sealed box contains an extra/duplicate piece, and is missing a piece as well? I had read some of the reviews about missing pieces, but wasn't sure if I could believe them. Now I know that I should have taken them seriously. Yes, there were probably 1000 pieces (I didn't count them), but straight out of the box we had two problems. I am including a couple of photos showing how we were missing an edge piece but received an extra bear face piece that was the exactly same as one we'd already put in above the dartboard. Outside of the obvious quality control issues, it was an enjoyable - not too easy, not too difficult - puzzle to do with family members this Thanksgiving. There were several pictures of the completed puzzle to use as references when putting it together. The pieces had unique, well-cut shapes and didn't peel up like some lower quality puzzles might. So, from that perspective, it was fine. I just don't even feel like I can donate it to anyone else now that it's done, because of the problems with it.
