This product does not contain instructions which confuse the user as to the purpose of some tools. One of the brushes has a flat tip on the end of the handle, which leads me to believe its purpose was to scrape the recessed underside of the window sill that collects all the dirt. Unfortunately not so much as it is too wide to fit in the window sill groove. One of the brushes has a detachable shovel attached to the handle. I have no idea what the scoop is for as it is too wide to fit in one of the windowsill grooves. I did not use a sponge to clean the bottom and sides of the sill grooves. The user can guess how to use most of the tools according to his imagination.
