Like many photography enthusiasts, I was REALLY excited about this camera. How fun is it to have manual control and create shallow depth of field with Instax film? Unfortunately after shooting 10 or more packs of film and having trouble getting clear photos. I realized that my camera was a lemon. A series of rigorous tests has shown that the focal plane of the camera lens and the focal plane of the viewfinder are not aligned. So if an object is in focus in the viewfinder, it will be out of focus in the photo. I lost a lot of time and films thinking it was all part of a "learning curve" but it wasn't. I wrote to InstantFlex and they advised me to arrange a replacement with Revain. I have made. Although the replacement order was either canceled by the seller or damaged in transit and never arrived, there was no way I could get another one. I received a partial refund of $311. So I lost $70, I don't have a working camera and an expensive set of lenses that I can't use or return. To date this has been my worst experience with a new camera and my worst experience with Revain combined in one disappointing transaction.
