Bought for nostalgia. I can't afford the original and thought I'd at least have a copy of the Polaroid. Unfortunately, every photo is either over- or underexposed. Despite the "management” of the aperture, there is nothing complicated between them - it is somehow extreme.

This camera is just out of this world. I have so much fun with him. Thinking about buying an instant camera and want the best? Save a little but get this amazing beauty. It gets a bit tricky at first as you have to set everything up manually. But once you get the hang of it, it's really nice.

Really impressed with what you can get out of an instant film with this film. The 5.6 aperture has a very comfortable focal plane that allows you to take great portraits. It's hard to focus, so be prepared to spend a few reels while you learn the quirks. They are a lot of fun to take pictures with and people love being able to take pictures with them. Due to the high entrance fee, I am more inclined to create opportunities to use it.

There is a roller arrangement through which every printout runs at the exit of the camera. For me they are either set incorrectly or not processed correctly, which is why every print that comes out of the camera has "streaks" in the picture. It went back to Mint for repair and they immediately sent it back saying it was discontinued. The same problem persists. So the camera is a very expensive decorative piece. My local camera shop (which I trust) says the problem is common, so they don't sell…

I don't know how Mint succeeded, but they've recreated the twin-lens SLR in all its whimsical glory AND managed to combine it with the equally whimsical nature of instant film. These are two amazing horrors. Difficult to focus and set exposure (as it could be with the original TLRs). It's difficult to get a sharp image with instant film (just like with old Polaroid photos that were often blurry and a bit fuzzy). But what a fun camera to play around with. Let me just say I love this camera! When I saw someone making a dual lens instant DSLR, I started researching to see if it was right for me. It was!
