Review on Faber-Castell FC167137 Wallet Pitt Pen Nibs Art Set: A Versatile Assortment for Masterful Creations by Kelsey Brown

But nice pens.

I love this pen set. A well stocked set for the price. It was a great way for me to try out some of the different styles of pen nibs and I will always need Indian ink black pigment pens so I can use them all. I was also able to see which pen or brush size I prefer and which I can do without. The chisel tips were a joy to try too. I will probably buy this set again just because I like having different types of black ink pens on hand. I wish they offered the same set in dark sepia. I like to use sepia as an outline when I want a softer look. Micron, Le Pen, Faber Castell, Tikky - the list goes on. These are no longer the pens I use for sketching or painting. While I love that this set has such a wide variety of tips and sizes, I just can't use them because they aren't waterproof or even waterproof. I paint with watercolor and also use it in small amounts in my city sketches, portraits and sketches. I need a pen that can withstand even a small amount of water. Unfortunately, these cannot. If you only use dry media, these will work and you'll probably like them. As for me, I love the permanent pigment inks whether I'm using dry media only or mixed media. They are suitable for my sketchbook or just for pencils and ink. I still love my other Faber Castell Art consumables, I just can't use them for too long :(
