I went through most of the assembly and noticed that the dowel holes in the support bar and "legs" weren't deep enough. The only way to make them deeper is to use a drill. I have a good one, but I don't use it very well, so I'm worried I won't center it properly or make it too deep. If I do that, I can't return it. The instructions don't mention using glue that came with the fittings. Logic will tell you whether to use it on wooden dowels, but only on one end of the dowel, or both? If I poke it at both ends, won't the holes again become too small for the parts to connect smoothly? Maybe I should throw away the glue; I do not know. Up to this point I have been happy with the packaging. The cherry color is much darker and redder than all 3 existing cherry furniture in my office. All other parts were purchased separately and are very close together. In the product description, the dimensions are not accurate and there is no mention of a support bar that takes up valuable space under the riser. I am very disappointed that I had to return it because I looked at many options and this one turned out to be the best.
