I bought these lights for the paper lanterns that we used in our tent at our wedding reception. The processing quality of the lamps is acceptable. The lights are turned on by rotating the base of the light where the tab is located. These lights fit on paper lantern hooks. Most devices worked several days after being switched on. Some only lasted a few hours, but that's why I bought a lot of them. They are hanging bright as delivered but not as bright under the awning with other extra lights. We couldn't tell they were on and all we had was white icicles around the perimeter of the 20x30 tent. Overall I would rate these Buy lightbulbs again and use them in different conditions or away from other lighting functions to demonstrate the capabilities of this little bulb. If you are hanging these lights in paper lanterns and the lanterns are difficult to access, good luck. Either turn them on, place them in the lantern and then hang the lantern, or be prepared for some of them to fall to the ground if you turn on the light while they're mounted in the lanterns. Some of them required an effort to turn on. 4 stars only because some didn't fit.
