When I got this, I didn't realize I had to keep the Edge cranking at full power the whole time I was draining the tank. It doesn't generate strong enough suction without a bevel to do anything. It may drain the tank, but it may take several hours. The facet must be activated for sucking. It uses a LOT of WATER. This is my first device of this kind, so I don't know if they are all like this. I'm scared of what my water bill will be like and I have a 45 gallon tank lol. All this to say that the suction power is pretty good when the Edge is on. The connections are all solid and the hardware is of decent quality. I love it, a chill runs down my spine when I think about what water costs me and the environment. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to drain a full tank over 75 gallons, but for partial water changes that would be fine. It just depends on what you want your water bill to be lol.
