I bought these to put in the footwell of my new Chevy Bolt as our Ford had lights there but the Chevy with the Bolt interior was very cheap . Since there is a blue stripe on the dashboard, I wanted a blue one. I saw on the Chevy Bolt forum that someone uses similar headlights in their car so I did the same but he paid a lot more. Thought I could put the extra ones elsewhere and actually gave my nephew a bunch for his boat. But I digress. I connected it to the pin in the fuse box that powers the blue strip on Bolt's dashboard. Therefore, these lights are dimmed with a blue stripe in accordance with the dimmer button on the dash to illuminate the dash. They look amazing and the ability to darken them is really good. When you open the driver's door, it lights up, and when you turn on the car, it goes out. If they were thinner, I would put a few more in the back leg area, but nobody is there anyway!
