I really liked the product. The kids didn't like the seat - it felt hard and they tended to slide backwards and get hit in the back by the adult seat. The small grooves should have worked to allow the cables to run along the top of the stem, but they didn't. I ended up having to take my bike back to the shop because it messed up the rear derailleur cables. It also interfered with the brake cable 😳. We switched to a more expensive Macride and the kids really liked it a lot more. And the operation of the bike will not be affected. The only small advantage this product has over Macrid is the grip. It's nice to have kids who hold on to something other than the main bike handle, especially since I'm a relative newbie to cycling. This little seat will probably work just fine if you don't have cables running up the handlebars. .
