First off, thanks to some of the reviews that suggested going a size up. I typically wear a 40Wx30L, so going by the chart should have gotten an XL. But, on advise from one review in particular, I go a XXL. I'm glad I did. The XL might have fit in the waist, but the hip/thigh/butt area would have been uncomfortably snug. The XXL gives just enough room for free movement in that area (thanks in part to the spandex) without looking/feeling baggy. So, whatever you would normally wear (based on the chart), GO UP ONE SIZE! If I had to guess, I'd say the length is about 31".a little longer than I'd like, but definitely manageable. Overall, the pants look great and feel great on. Quality seems good, but we'll see how it holds up to a 4-day camping trip. One thing I did not do yet is test the claim of being "waterproof". I'm a little skeptical about that claim, but honestly even if they're just mildly water RESISTANT (which is not the same as waterproof), I could live with that. I did buy a second pair right away in a different color once I confirmed fit. So I'm all in.hopefully they won't disappoint when put through the rigors of the great outdoors. So far, I am pleased with the purchase.
