Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Bike Torque Wrench Set - Essential MTB & Bicycle Tools for Accurate Torque Adjustment by Rudy Barron

A workaround to store the wrench in its own storage case.

Works. I think that's accurate enough. I just got my bike from the dealer for some tweaking so it needs to be tightened properly. I set the torque wrench to Nm which is printed next to the torx screws and it turned very little before it "clicked". The markings on the torque wrench are a little hard to read. I would like more contrast between the markings and the key body. You can't just look at it, you have to move the tool to get a certain angle before you can read it. The bits (dark material) and 1/4" piece (silver) have size stamps. It's very difficult for me to read without bringing them close to my eyes. It would be nice if there was a chart of newton meters to inches -pound would be included. I made my own in Excel, printed it out and kept it in a storage box. On the other side of the paper I have marked the size of the bit for quick reference. This wrench should be stored at the smallest value to avoid a premature To avoid wearing out its spring, this is even stated in the accompanying instructions, however like other minimum adjustment mine needs to be adjusted to at least 3.5Nm for it to fit So you have a set with bits, extension and universal joint in a nice sturdy storage case. but the torque wrench has to be kept separately, outside its own case. Seems silly. I either cut open the case or melt it the plastic with a soldering iron. Luckily, I hesitated and came up with a better workaround. Remove the black cap from the bottom of the torque wrench. Now the torque wrench goes into the housing even at the lowest setting and closes properly. You can insert the black cap into one of the several notches on the case to avoid losing it. When setting the key to the lowest position, the black cap unintentionally came off the key several times. Actually I was going to use a latch to hold it in place! Pinned a few stars for being difficult to read and for not fitting in its own storage box at the lowest reading without resorting to a workaround that many people might not understand. Outside.
