I bought these to set up my 23" BenQ monitors in my home office. I used to have quite a few cheap and expensive mounts so I was skeptical because of the price but I ended up going for this one anyway. They work very well. Of course, plastic is not a luxury, but it is by no means cheap. Also, what do you expect from $55? That's literally more than half the price of similar products. Also, as I've verified, no one is going to break these things. They attach it to the table, mount the screens, and then they go nowhere. Such a silly thing to complain about. Further, many of the reviews don't seem to like the channels for the cable organization. You're okay. They fit snug, but you want them to be snug. You put the cords where they need to go, give yourself enough exercise and you're done. I had no trouble organizing them. You can easily place 4 different cables in each channel if you run 2 from each entry point. Again very stupid to complain. Another problem that people have is the actual installation. If you can read at a 3rd grade level, the instructions are pretty clear. It's like a 3-step process, and it's ready-to-go enough that 99% of reasonably competent toddlers can figure it out without guidance. I can assure you that any reviewer on this site who complains about the instructions or the installation process is as incompetent as can be. The installation took 15 minutes from start to finish. Finally, I see some complaining that they can't put their monitors against the wall when the table is leaning against it. This is by far the most ridiculous thing to complain about. Seriously, desktop mounts, by their very nature, cannot protrude beyond a physical object. How anyone could expect otherwise is beyond the mind. Also, monitors do NOT have to be "right in front of your face". You still have plenty of room. If you have no reason to believe that these mounts violate the laws of physics, you won't have any problems either. I love these mounts. The gas pistons are great. Once you set them up properly, they'll be buttery smooth. I can't believe that such a high quality product can be purchased at such a low price. If like me you're holding back on those purchases because you insist on making the right purchases, just pull the trigger. You are fantastic. I'm going to buy another one for my desk at work because I love it so much. (PS - I love that the hands are independent. You can flip one hand the other way to show someone something without losing use of the other. Love, love, love, love her!)
