Stereo on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata and I would like to point out a few things. This wiring harness is missing a few wires that are important to 2006 Hyundai Sonata owners. It actually also has a few extra wires that don't connect to anything in the stereo's factory wiring harness, but can just be plugged in and ignored. But what worries those of us with a 2006 Hyundai Sonata the most is that it's missing the larger spade connector at position 24 of the factory harness for the motor antenna, as well as the smaller wire connector at position 19 of the factory harness, which is the remote ground (required if you want the steering wheel remote control to work on your new aftermarket stereo). Also note that this is the same wire harness as the Metra 70-5520 radio wire harness, except the FD23B adds an extra wire (70-5520). 5520 has 18 wires and this one has 19 wires, IIRC) but adds wrong layout for 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I will explain below. As "jasper pipestone" notes in his test report on the Metra 70-5520 radio wiring harness, the large wire for the power antenna is missing. In his review, he incorrectly calls this position 13 of the factory wiring harness, but it is actually position 24 of the factory wiring harness. Slot 13 of the factory wiring harness is black (common ground), so do not remove! What you really want is the wire that goes with the fancy green wire on the factory harness for the power antenna line, which is in factory harness 24 on the opposite side of the big black and gray wires (black == common ground and gray = = battery / constant power). I did what he suggested and bought an extra wiring harness because I knew I was going to short some wires and those harnesses are cheap. I removed the red wire retainer from both wire harnesses. I then lifted the small plastic clip on the inside of the harness holding one of the large flat cables and removed it from one harness and then inserted it into the other harness, which solved the item 24 issue. This wiring harness isn't either. What you should do is the wire that goes with item 19 on the factory wiring harness. This is the remote grounding required if you plan to connect your aftermarket stereo to a steering wheel control interface like the Axxess ASWC I use. To fix this, I removed the other (smaller) wire from my second/spare wiring harness and placed it at position 19 in the wiring harness I used to install the aftermarket stereo. I then reinstalled both red harness clips. It works great! I've uploaded a REALLY useful schematic for a 2006 Hyundai Sonata factory car stereo harness here: [.] After adding the two missing wires to this harness I was able to connect all the factory harnesses. Cable to my secondary stereo with a small problem. Hope this helps someone else. =
