We're not new to mail order but if you are new it may take a few hours or more. The instructions are wordless and not too clear. Be careful when assembling or you can easily chip off some of the trim on the drawers - this too can be fixed with furniture chalk or a little artful application of brown felt tip pen. However, it is a very beautiful, durable, very furniture quality. Not cheap. My biggest complaint is that the drawers need some adjustment to fit the square and roll well on the rails. There are also no anti-tip insoles (so it looks VERY antique!). There is nothing modern about it. Beautiful, goes well with similar decor, drawers are deep. I am happy about the small additional but stylish storage space in the bedroom. You can also make good bedside tables.
