Review on πŸ”‘ Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard with Input Dial & Backlit Keys, Dark Grey & Aluminum - Advanced Creative Tool by Kise Renouvnch ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

Moved from using laptops to a desktop computer, since now there are compact and powerful options. The prospect of such a move frightened me with a lot of factors, among which - important for me, the lack of good laptop quality keyboards - a small move, pleasant tactile sensations, soft sound and . recently - backlighting. Until relatively recently, there was only one option - Apple's keyboard, but for me this is not a very suitable option. I use a Windows based system. Logitech Craft - completely satisfies me as an analogue of good (!), laptop keyboards, and even has pluses in front of them - a full-size layout with a numeric keypad (a rarity in laptops) with a normal location, distances and size of the cursor control keys, paging pages. In fact, you get a "piece of a laptop" in your hands, only thin, quiet and cool - solid pluses :) Sorry for a lot of text, I decided to write this review in detail, because. the current overall score (4.5) seems too low to me. It was because of her that I first bought another keyboard, I was afraid to pay a lot of money and get into a mess . but I'm glad that I still took a chance and ended up taking Craft. Yes, the first impression after opening the box is "how compact it is!" It looked bigger in the photo and video)

Pros
  • The quality of materials, tactile sensations from use. The wheel for me is not a useless thing, as they say here, but a nice additional feature that increases comfort in work and which you get used to pretty quickly. USB-C for charging - less wires on the table, now it's the more common standard (at least in my case). The set of instructions includes instructions on how to dismantle the batteries - you can remove them yourself (the cover is unscrewed with a screwdriver) . which means that, in theory, replace if necessary? I'm not sure that it will be possible to find such, but the very possibility of a simple "opening" of Claudia pleases, I attribute it to the pluses. It turned out to connect an Android phone via bluetooth, it turned out to be quite convenient to type notes from the keyboard, respond to messages - it connects quickly, the feature worked for me) I was very pleased with the ability to configure wheel modes for a specific application - you can assign hot keys to turn the wheel! It was unexpected and in the subject - I'm a programmer, assigned to the wheel to move through the history of movement through the code, very convenient! To Logitech's wish, which seems to me quite simple to implement, but the utility of the wheel is much more useful: to add the ability to create several such modes instead of one "custom key" and the possibility of naming them. Then more than one function can be assigned to the rotation of the wheel, which can be selected by touching it.
Cons
  • I'm afraid to be branded as a Logitech advertising agent, but for me they really don't exist! High price? There is always a price to pay for quality and innovation. Based on the combination of components, the price does not look overpriced in my opinion. Claudia is more expensive than Eplovskaya, but there is also the ability to connect up to three devices, backlight and the presence of a wheel. At the same time, the quality of the keyboard itself is in no way inferior! Short battery life? And what do you want from a compact size with backlight, wheels with mechanics? You can turn off or reduce the backlight, then the operating time will increase, but the comfort is lost. The battery seems to be small, but it also charges faster - it takes less time to be "tied" to the computer with a cord. I don’t care at all - the charge has fallen, I stuck the cord for a while - the computer is on the table next to it, nothing interferes. Although, you know, let me quibble a bit. I was puzzled by the hard cable for charging the keyboard that comes with the kit. It seems to me that for a device that can move during use, it would be more adequate to put a high-quality (not afraid of kinks), but softer cable .
