Review on πŸ‘ž ARUBA Sandals Men's Shoes in KEEN Black Gargoyle Shade by Brian Buck

Disgusting shoes, not nearly as good as the original

If you're expecting them to be the same as the original Aruba, you'll be very disappointed. First of all, they have a synthetic tread. now it's not the rubber of the original, it's crappy and awful plastic that doesn't stick to it, making it actually almost entirely decorative. After just a few wears in my house, they glided across the hardwood and tile floors. I'm REALLY disappointed that Keen lowered the price and removed the rubber soles but are still charging the same prices. They're also half a size smaller than before, so go up a size. The inside of the insole is also no longer a rubber tread, but an unsightly layer of plastic, a kind of foam that doesn't feel that good. Skin like the original. Overall, apart from the material change, the insole feels basically as comfortable as the original, but that's not enough for me to want to keep it. I loved these sandals when I had the first version, I wore them for several years until there was no tread left and I had to keep re-gluing them in many places and I was disappointed when Keene discontinued them without me having one could get a replacement. It's quite sad that they released a junk replacement version after countless people asked them to return this shoe.
