If you're moving from the Apple Watch 5, don't expect revelations. I have a long relationship with the Apple Watch, and for the fifth year now, almost all generations have passed through my wrist, so I can say with confidence that most of the reviews on YouTube are complete junk. The authors are sent watches for review, and they try to squeeze out at least some information from themselves, and then they go to watch other reviews, and as a result we get a set of videos that are identical in information, just with different talking heads in the frame, which didn’t really use the clock.

Display. The most breakthrough was the fifth series, due to Always-on-Display. In the sixth, they added an oxygen sensor (which can be bought for a thousand on the market). In the seventh, the display was increased by 1 mm, leaving the old hardware. And I'll tell you honestly, the enlarged screen after Series 5 is virtually invisible. You will get used to it in half an hour. Both versions of the watch are periodically replaced in my hands, and sometimes to understand which series is now on the wrist, you need to take a closer look. Breakthrough this screen looks only against the background of the third series. And the performance is not at all different from the fifth series.

Battery. Bold plus of this watch is the battery and the speed of its charging. If the second and third series dragged on for two days, the fifth in the best day, then the seventh ones are able to work without cutting back on functionality for one and a half to two days, and then recharge in an hour. Previous versions could lie on charge for up to two hours, and this is a very long time for such a mobile device. The battery is so good that I decided to sell all the old watches, rather than use them as a backup while the main one is charging.

Outcome. It is worth taking if: you are ating from the third series; not satisfied with the battery life and charging time; have a passion for dark blue and do not like gray.

Not worth taking if: you have the illusion that you will get significant differences after the fifth or sixth series. You are under the illusion that someone will be able to recognize the 7th clock on your hand.

Pros

- Virtually unlimited possibilities for recording and tracking your workouts. - The best fitness tracker on the market. Why, I already told a few years ago in my review of the AW2, and since then nothing has changed. Yes, there are more highly specialized watches, but they are aimed at professionals. Apple Watch is good for lovers, medals, rings and various buns that motivate even a stone to move. - Battery and charging speed. No need for sarcastic smiles, this is not a hiking watch, you won't be able to walk in the mountains with it for two weeks, this is a mobile gadget of a metropolis resident! For hardware, something at the level of the iPhone 7 on your wrist. No need to demand from him a month of work without recharging. - Dials. I've been using the same watch face for 4 years now. It will seem strange to schoolchildren, but all the dials are so thought out that once you have collected everything for yourself, you won’t want to change anything else. I will tell you even more, on some Rolexes the dial cannot be changed at all, but this does not make them worse.

Cons

- Pop-up keyboard (one of the main features) only in English - There are no normal notes, every little thing has to be either screenshotted or sent to yourself as imessage. This is despite the fact that dictation on the watch is very good, and dictating a note to yourself is not a problem. - A bug with a timer. If you ask to set a timer for an hour or thirty, the watch will set an alarm for this time and wake you up at night. It's been dragging on for many years. - With flowers, everything is strange. Added green, which went out of fashion with 11 Pro Max. Space Gray was removed, but top-end macbooks, iPads and iPhones were left in this color. At the same time, the 13 Pro Max is sold in SpaceGrey, but official cases come with it only in Midnight navy blue. There is no general concept in the new line of watches and smartphones, as if the decision was made at the last moment.
