The factory LED bar under the awning of my camper van started fading and turning yellow after 4 years. I replaced it with this one and it worked great. This strip has twice the LEDs per foot/meter of my original and is nice and bright but not too bright to be distracting. 5/16 wide which was slightly smaller than my original 3/8 but it fits nicely in the plastic C-profile tarpaulin bar. I didn't glue mine on full length as it seemed like it would be difficult to remove if I didn't like it. The 3M tape was a little wrinkled in a few places so I peeled off the backing in those crumpled areas plus a few more every 2-3 feet and it stuck well. My original was cut to the exact 17 foot length, but this 16.5/5 meter strip worked fine. After an initial test, I cut the connector off this piece and crimped the ball (or spade) shaped terminals to my original wiring. The only thing I could wish for was it in 4000k instead of 6000k, but for $14 it's great compared to $60 at an RV dealer.
