This place is perfect for my two big boys! Although I will say they don't care about the closet (even when I tried to put some catnip in it) although one of them checked it out when first putting it together and it fit there perfectly. My cats don't really hide, so this is a useless feature for me, but the rest of the device is more than adequate. Both of my boys weigh about 18 pounds each and this design keeps them light. They LOVE the top perches and love to ride with their limbs and head hanging off the edge, very silly actually :) The base is nice and wide so they don't sway too much when jumping. They also like to scratch it, which of course is the main goal. Great buy and great price! UPDATE: 10/09/13 After only a few months of use, the wedge shaped platform the cats use to get to the center perch broke right off the post so it is now hanging down and unusable. Without this platform, it's difficult for my cats to jump in the middle to get to the top. Not once did they hang around in any part of the house and I know they can fit because when I first put them together my larger cat could fully in and out. So the quality is disappointing. You can order additional parts from the company, but I don't want to spend $25 on a wedge every few months.
