I recently came across an old keyboard that I was given as a gift. It was a Cherry mechanical keyboard. I thought it would be a good idea to replace my current keyboard that keeps turning off and such. The old keyboard required a PS/2 port, which my new computer didn't have. It worked well and no new drivers needed to be installed. I didn't notice anything wrong with the keyboard and it worked without my frustration or anything. I know some keyboards have an adapter built in and a cheaper and smaller one will do. I wasn't sure if my keyboard had this so I took the safer route and bought this with a built in adapter. This works with any keyboard that requires a PS/2 port. Also, Monoprice is a good company. I've bought many cables and cords from Monoprice, always with no problems. I recommend this product.
