Review on Alpine S S65 6 5 Inch Coaxial Speakers by Pat Peoples

I installed these speakers in my Volvo S60. Replaced factory speakers that were distorted. I did a lot of research before purchasing and expected an amazing sound, but it's not what I was hoping for. The treble is excellent and much better than the old devices, but the bass is unacceptable for normal listening, not hip hop. I can boost the bass to make it sound good, but it's thin in the plane. Now it could be an impedance issue since Volvo doesn't mention impedance. It's 4 ohms but the old ones could have been 2, 8 or 16 ohms which could have caused the above. There are no complaints about the top and upper mid frequencies, which means something is wrong.
