Review on GPEH Solderless Through Splice Connector by Gabriel Salleh

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor injection molding

These connectors are difficult to use due to their incorrect design. See the first photo of this product. You can see right through the end to be closed and the dead end just past the metal crimp. As you can see, it's not. There is also no separation between the first and second channels, creating the possibility of both wires crossing and not entering the slot in the stripper/connector, easily being crumpled or broken and not making an electrical connection. The wire tends to come straight out of the end making it difficult to hold both wires in place making it difficult to connect. In contrast, the second and third photos show the connectors I replaced these bad ones with. You can clearly see the closed end on one side and the passageway for the wire you are connecting to. This connector has a nice window to confirm you've inserted the second wire far enough - something I've never seen before, which I like. I am returning these poorly shaped plugs.
