I ordered these lab coats for my daughter's 6th birthday. She asked about Science Theme and so I planned to make Vinegar + Soap + Baking Soda and also Flebber (Glue + Borax). The children enthusiastically put on their lab coats and buttoned them up! The parents who stayed took photos (because it was so cute!). The lab coats (small size) were perfect for 5-6 year olds. The 7-year-old at the party was a bit tall for a lab coat but managed. The lab coats were a little big for 3-4 year olds but luckily that didn't matter as the elasticated sleeves kept them from getting too long. The material is incredibly cheap and thin. It looks like a very thin reusable shopping bag (so thin it's translucent). But coats are surprisingly durable. These children have put lab coats on and off multiple times, throwing them, stomping on them, and not a single lab coat has been ripped or torn. Children's clothes are clean! The celebration was a success!
