Much stronger than the worn blocks on my 2012 991. One of them will hold the hood while the original two have reached the point where the hood won't hold. Insert a very small screwdriver into the gap between the metal clip/tape and the back of the plastic bushing and pry up slightly. This spreads the holder around the sphere, allowing the socket to be pulled out of the sphere. The gap is accessible from both sides of the clamp. Note. Support the cowl before removing the first end of any of the original braces or the cowl will fall off, hitting you in the head and potentially wedging the now dangling part. Spacers in the gap between the hood and the fenders (don't ask me how I know that). The new spacer doesn't compress by hand, so you might think it's frozen. It's not, it will work after installation. Also, there's a silly branding label on the body of the stand, but it peels off easily and leaves no residue, leaving a solid black tube.
