Most pans advertised for BBQ sauce are cast iron but I don't like cooking liquids in cast iron due to rust and the need for cleaning. Most stainless steel pans are either too big or have the wrong handle for use on the top shelf of the grill. For this purpose it is perfect. I can soak it in the sink overnight to soften leftover sweet barbecue sauce for cleaning. or put in the dishwasher. It's small enough to fit on the top shelf of the grill, but big enough to hold a large portion of sauce.
