Not cheap but worth it!
This thing is amazing. I've used it with all my cameras, but the performance with my 8+lb medium format camera is what really sets it apart. With the grip in the left horizontal configuration (not in joystick mode) it holds my multipurpose camera steady as a rock in both landscape and (surprisingly) portrait modes, with all 8+ pounds of the camera supported over a tripod. centerline. This thing is held like a vise, but the effort to unlock it doesn't require as strong a grip. Truly an outstanding design. If you're on the fence, jump (buy it)!
