Perfect for hats and scarves! This rack is exactly what I needed for smaller items. The assembly is relatively simple-all you need is a Phillips Head screwdriver. I do think calling it a coat rack is a bit of a misnomer as I think it is more of a jacket rack.The hooks up top would carry the weight of coats, but then they would cover the lower hooks. The lower hooks could carry jackets, but any long coats would drag on the floor. But, if you are looking for a rack to hang scarves and hate-this is a great buy and offers 11 hooks for that purpose.
