I bought these bottles for my homemade vanilla extract, which I make myself. They are strong, dark, and perfect for my needs. The extracts should be stored in a dark, cool place and the amber hue helps keep the extract even if I put it in a dark pantry. The caps are not flat on the inside but have a cone-shaped insert that points down into the neck of the bottle when screwed on. I feel like they help displace air which is a plus for staying fresh while the extracts "heal". I shake the extracts once a week and use them at least 6 months later when the vanilla beans add flavor to the liqueur. I will definitely buy these bottles again.
