Bought this can direct from Klean Kanteen. It's so poorly constructed that it's impossible to open it after something hot has been put inside. The lid's material is soft plastic, and the threading is like sparse hemispheres that bite into the lid's plastic. We hosted a family dinner there but it wasn't possible to get out at the weekend. The family left hungry, the weekend was ruined. Back home I tried different ways of opening, rubber wrapping, holding by many people, even clamping. It ended up bending the metal, but the canister still refused to open. Threw that canister in the trash with lunch in it. Do not buy.
