Installed 3 of these Halo LED downlights on a single circuit controlled by a Lutron Diva dimmer switch. At all light levels, these LEDs emitted an audible buzz. I went to the Halo website and checked the recommended dimmers. The installed Lutron Diva dimmer was the recommended dimmer, as was the Lutron Maestro, so I replaced the Diva dimmer with a Lutron Maestro dimmer. Without change. A local high street shop had a display case with this halo bulb and its own full load 3 position sliding halo dimmer. Bought a halo dimmer and replaced the Maestro with a halo dimmer. The lights were still on. I reinstalled the Maestro dimmer and returned the halo dimmer to a large store where I bought 4" Commercial Electric CER4730BWH27 T45 LEDs for less than half the price of these Halo LED lights. Commercial Electric T45 LEDs no hum with Maestro dimmer Both light quality and dimming capabilities are indistinguishable from the buzzing LED Halo lights Expected: The combination of manufacturer's dimmer switch and manufacturer's LED lights should work without hum Fact: LED Bulbs hum with the manufacturer's own dimmer switch, as well as two manufacturer-recommended dimmers Time lost: too many hours.
