Very comfy after they stretch out

Love these shoes for going outside. I’m not sure the soles are substantial enough for much walking, though. Very pretty, flattering, lightweight, and (eventually) comfortable. When I first put these on, they hurt. I almost took them off and got rid of them. But I got distracted and sat with them on for a few minutes, and I found that as they warmed up (I guess?), they sort of stretched out a bit and became more tolerable. So I got up and went outside with them on, and I found that they slowly became even more comfortable. And I loved how light they are, and how I didn’t have to worry about getting them wet. I’ve worn them every day since then for short jaunts in the yard (getting the mail, watering plants, etc.), and now I feel like they’ve really conformed to my feet. I actually like wearing them. However, the soles are thin. When I walk through a bed of rocks, I can feel those rocks, and it’s not ideal. If I needed to walk over something like that for more than several steps, I’d wear different shoes. I might wear these for a quick errand where I wouldn’t have to walk far, but they don’t really offer much (if any) support, and they would not stop anything sharp or pokey, so I would not wear them for anything that would require walking a distance or traversing potentially dangerous ground. But I LOVE keeping them by the front door to put on. "Foyer” shoes are great to have, but I always feel paranoid about a spider getting in them, since the shoes are near the door, where spiders like to sneak in. But the great thing about these shoes is that they are solid white on the inside, and all the holes allow in light, so you can see at a glance that nothing has crawled in there. That alone makes them something I’d get again when these wear out.I normally wear a 9, and sometimes a 9.5 when I need it for the width (I have wide feet). So I got these in a 10, and they feel like the right size. Initially the width was the painful part, but that completely resolved. But they do seem to run small, so consider ordering up a size.I’ve never worn Crocs before, so I can’t comment on how these compare to those. These are completely unlined, so they feel a little, hmm, "sticky” at first. But somehow that goes away, or I don’t notice it after a while. I wouldn’t want to wear these all day, but for yard shoes, they are fantastic.

Pros
  • So nice I went ahead and bought another pair!!! Easy to clean off too!! Love them!
Cons
  • Weak slip resistance, putting the wearer at risk of falling in wet or slippery conditions
