I always try to keep a spare cable or two on me. I usually use a cable in one spot and then forget to swap it out when I get back to the office. While I would have a production machine running full time with these types of cables, it's an option, at least in the short term. These cables are needed when I need to connect an Ethernet faucet and I don't have enough cables or the customer doesn't have a cable that I can borrow.
