Pros: Looks good on car More secure than a non-locking deadbolt Cons: Uses a separate key, needs to be added to the keychain Mostly not a high quality material Plastic. My first unit failed 2 months after installation. This unit was purchased to replace the factory non-locking tailgate latch. It works as intended. This does not protect against theft, but it is more secure than no lock. It will make honest people honest. The latch is molded plastic and snapped onto the first padlock I had supplied within 2 months of purchase. Luckily, I decided to leave the latch just in case. I contacted Pop & Lock and they sent me a new block for free, even without shipping. I will use the second block and hopefully there will be no problems. It is very easy to install. I cannot currently recommend this lock, I will try to update the review in the future.
