We have 5 dogs. Boys are fine in cold weather but my girls just shiver and want to go back inside. I knew I needed jackets for her. I tried a few but they were all too bulky to wear. She is between two sizes. Medium to small, large to large, size charts always seem wrong. I took a chance on this jacket and went for the big one for Indie. It might be too big, but the wide velcro straps make it easy to adjust it snug enough on her for a perfect fit. A pleasant surprise! Bella is a 10lb ChiPom with a very thick coat. As small as it is, I went for medium to give all the fur a little more room. Glad you did! It's a little longer, but fits better than any other jacket we've tried. Best of all, it's reversible: one side is flannel and the other side is nylon, which allows the coat to be brushed easily. Haven't tried it in snow or rain yet so I'll add a review later. It doesn't stretch at all. It's just not the right material. These jackets also cost about $5 less than similar jackets, so another bonus :-) Definitely a win-win for us. at last!
