No this is not a Nikon or Zeiss stereoscope but for the money you are paying you get a very good product. The optics are better than I expected and the overall construction is solid and well made, although not as elegant and beautiful as the leading brands. The mechanism lags a step behind in terms of ease of movement and precision, but is sufficient for broad industrial use. We use this stereoscope for fine detail input and it works just as well as other brands. We are expanding our activities and will definitely order another 1TZ. If you're looking for an inexpensive visual inspection solution and don't need the ultimate performance of a $2,000-$3,000 stereoscope, this is a great alternative.
