This is the basic filter for more advanced Bosch Tassimo brewers. A plastic insert is required to hold the filter (Bosch part number 646364). If your Bosch does not have a filter and has a square water tank like this one: Bosch TAS4511UC, you can search on Google and order this exact part directly from the Bosch online shop. (Please note that it will NOT work for brewers with rounder tanks like Bosch TAS2001UC). It's easy to use, works great, and helps with water quality issues. The question is, do you even need filtered water? If your tap water is good and tastes good, you may not need to filter your water. However, filtering your tap water or drinking bottled water can help. I recommend making coffee without a filter and then with a filter and see if you can feel the difference. (It's even better to have someone brew coffee for a "blind" tasting.)
