Difficult to Open - Tow and Winch Accessory

Looks solid, lock is easy to insert. However, unlocking it is a chore. You have to fiddle with the key before it opens. You have to turn the key back and forth several (many) times; When you're about to give up, it suddenly clicks and opens. I didn't understand if there is a specific sequence or movement that triggers the blockage. Very frustrating.
