I love this backpack, but in 30 days the stitching at the top of the back zip compartment has already come undone. I think oak can be used as long as you don't put anything too heavy in it. The laptop should be too much. Full of crap. It traveled well and I bought it thinking it would be more convenient with zips on the outside for easier access to things, but it's not that easy for me to get in and out of. Striving for an elegant look can be a mistake. If you're looking for a utility that's durable, functional, and easily portable, I think it's better to go with a traditional backpack if you can find a small one. Otherwise, use it lightly and not for anything heavy.
